Intermediate obedience is for dogs who have completed our beginners obedience class or a board and train and have been given the green light to move on.
What you need to know:
Class is 6 weeks long.
We meet for one hour each week.
Class location is about 5 minutes north of Riverside park. Address will be sent in an email.
Cost of this class is $200 and is due at time of registration.
Vaccinations required:
Rabies
Distemper
Parvovirus
Bordetella
You will need:
All items found at Healthy Hound or The Pet Works.
Training collar (no harnesses or head halters).
4’ leash.
Long line (20’ leash).
Variety of soft training treats your dog likes.
Treat pouch.
Raised bed for at home, I will provide one for class.

Skills we’ll cover in class:
Adding more challenging distractions to the environment while practicing handler focus, sit, down, place and stay.
Adding distance to your stays.
Adding more challenging distractions to the environment while practicing loose leash walking as well as adding tight turns to this skill.
Adding distance and more challenging distractions to the coming when called exercise.
We will start “leave it” and boundary training (behavior at thresholds).
We will continue working on polite greetings and “finish”.
We will start sending to “place” from a distance.
