We have two beginners obedience classes to choose from this round, a Monday class, and a Wednesday class. Scroll down for details and to register.

Please note: once class begins, payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.

What you need to know:

  • Class is 6 weeks long.

  • Week 1 is a NO DOG class.

  • We meet for one hour each week.

  • Class location is about 5 minutes north of Riverside park. Address will be sent in an email.

  • Cost of this class is $200 and is due at time of registration.



    Skills we’ll cover in class:

  • Handler focus.

  • Marker system, leash pressure and reward delivery.

  • Food luring.

  • Loose leash walking, about turn and auto sit.

  • Sit, down and place.

  • Recall (coming when called).

  • Introduction to stay (sit, down, place).

  • Polite greetings.

  • Addressing jumping, biting and mouthing.

-core foundations 

Beginners obedience for
dogs 6 mos. and older.

Vaccinations required:

  • Rabies

  • Distemper

  • Parvovirus

  • Bordetella

    You will need:

All of these items can be found at Healthy Hound or The Pet Works.

  • Training collar (no harnesses or head halters). Contact me with questions.

  • 4’ leash and a 6’ leash. Make sure your leashes are lightweight and comfortable to hold.

  • Variety of soft training treats your dog likes.

  • Treat pouch.

  • Raised dog bed for at home (I will provide them for class).
